Eritrean Human Trafficking Project

In this project, I cartographically impersonated four influential mapmakers, including: Charles Minard, Kevin Lynch, Margaret Pearce (my former advisor at KU), and Mei Po Kwan. I borrowed and applied their varying techniques to human trafficking stories collected from Human Rights Watch. Through this exploration and process, I came to better understand the techniques that I was using as well as the stories. I began questioning how we represent experience and in this case, traumatic experiences.
